Elphinstone were proud to be the Sponsors of the Young Achiever of the Year Award which was presented by Chairman Ken Ross at the Prince's Trust Celebrate Success Dinner on Wednesday 21st November. The award is given to a Trust supported young person who has moved into work, education or training and overcome barriers. This years winner was Sean Paterson who is pictured right with Karen Dunbar who was a guest presenter.
The star studded awards ceremony which took place at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow, honours the achievements of young people, volunteers and partner organisations in Scotland and celebrates the achievements of Trust supported young people who have turned their lives around and made a vital contribution to their local community.
It was attended by Trust celebrity ambassadors including MTV presenter Shantha Roberts, comedian Fred MacAulay and, XFM DJ Heather Suttie who handed out the awards, with entertainment provided by the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.
Elphinstone's Ken Ross is also very much involved with the Lion's Den which was launched in May with five teams of solicitors from Tods Murray, DLA Piper, Biggart Baillie and HBJ Gately Wareing accepting the challenge of raising over £20,000 each for the Prince's Trust.
Ken mentored HBJ Gately Wareing with whom Elphinstone co-hosted the Prince's Trust St Andrews Day Gala Dinner on Saturday 24th June. The funds raised at this event will be announced at a dinner to be held on Monday 3rd December.
