Recognition for Designing Places

Elphinstone's masterplan for a Sustainable Village on the River Clyde has been shortlisted for a prestigious design award.  The Designing Places Awards scheme is organised by Homes for Scotland to celebrate industry achievements and promote best practice in housing design and innovation.  The Elphinstone plan for a mixed residential community of 1570 homes has previously been commended by Architecture+Design Scotland for the analysis and design aspirations.  The Sustainable Village is part of an ambitious scheme to breathe new life into under-used car parks on both sides of SECC exhibition complex.  The Winner of the 2008 Designing Places Award will be announced at the Homes for Scotland Annual Lunch on Friday 9th May 2008.
