Planning Consent Granted for New Agricultural Centre

Planning Consent was granted by Stirling council on 2 May 2008 for Stirling Agricultural Centre, an exciting new landmark development by Elphinstone which will be the new headquarters for United Auctions and the principal auction mart for Central Scotland.

The Centre lies to the north of the A84, two miles to the west of Stirling and less than one mile from junction 10 of the M9 motorway leading north to Perth, Dundee and Aberdeen and south to Glasgow. The M9 in turn links Stirling to Edinburgh and provides excellent access to the UK’s motorway network.

The development extends to 200,000 sq ft and will provide a new high quality agricultural centre, retail units and office accommodation together with over 300 car parking spaces and extensive overflow parking and a restaurant/café.

The new auction mart is scheduled to be completed by summer 2009.
