Elphinstone Land Limited has grown dramatically since it was created in 2002 as a joint venture with Bank of Scotland to identify and acquire strategic land sites throughout Scotland and manage them through the planning system.
Following the acquisition of the UA Group portfolio in 2005, Elphinstone landholdings amounted to almost 3,000 acres covering most of Scotland.
Since then, Elphinstone Land has sold approximately 1,000 acres of land, generating revenue in excess of £40 million.
In September 2007, Bank of Scotland and Elphinstone Estates formed a new joint venture with a war chest of £130 million to invest in land projects throughout Scotland.
