Elphinstone was founded in 1991 as a house building company, since then the company has diversified into other areas of property development.
The accelerating success of Elphinstone can be attributed to:
- Persistence in identifying and pursuing viable business opportunities.
- Prudent land and property acquisitions.
- Resolving complex planning and development issues.
- Completing developments to high standards, within budget and on time.
To date, the company has successfully undertaken over £70 million of developments in Scotland and has a future workload of £500 million.
In June 2006, a new holding company, Elphinstone Holdings Limited was established in which all Elphinstone staff are shareholders. Elphinstone Holdings has so far entered into Joint Ventures with Charlotte Ventures, Hunter Property Advisers and Bank of Scotland.
