Corporate Social Responsibility

Elphinstone recognises its corporate social responsibilities to its customers, suppliers and employees and is committed to good practice and aims to conduct its business in a socially responsible manner.  We are committed to being a responsible member of the communities in which we operate.

Elphinstone complies with the laws, regulations and rules applicable to its business and endeavours to conduct its business in accordance with established best practice.

Members of Elphinstone's Executive team are actively engaged in a range of business and industry organisations, including the Scottish Property Federation, Homes for Scotland, S.C.D.I and C.B.I.  Elphinstone work with the Scottish Executive to address housing issues, including planning reform and the provision of affordable housing.

Elphinstone engages with all the communities that we develop in participating with local authorities.  Our developments are designed to add real value to local communities through the provision of social housing, primary schools, leisure amenities, meeting places, local shops or accommodation for health and medical services.  Sustainability is of paramount importance, as is the social and environmental context of any new development.

Public art is an important element of Elphinstone developments and we incorporate a percentage for art in all developments. Our investment in art is reflected in sculptures, frieze and artwork commissioned from local artists to enhance various developments.                                more >>
