New president for BPF

The British Property Federation (BPF) has announced that Great Portland Estates plc chief executive, Toby Courtauld, is to become the organisation's new president in 2011.

Mr Courtauld will follow the current president, Rupert Clarke, and vice president, John Richards, who will hold the top position in 2010/11.

Commenting on his new position as junior vice president, Toby Courtauld said:

"It is a real privilege to have the opportunity to contribute to the BPF in this way and I am greatly looking forward to working with Liz and her team".

According to BPF chief executive, Liz Peace:

"We are delighted that Toby, one of the industry's brightest young stars, has agreed to become our new junior vice president. He has been a very active member of our Policy Committee for a number of years and I'm sure he will bring a new dynamism to the future direction of the BPF."
