At Elphinstone we recognise that the way we conduct our business is vital to earning and retaining the trust and confidence of our customers, suppliers and employees and that responsible business practice is central to our future success.
We are committed to complying with the laws, regulations and rules applicable to our business and endeavour to conduct our business in accordance with established best practice.
We are active advocates of sustainability through Homes for Scotland and the Scottish Property Federation as well as through initiatives such as the Scottish Government's Climate Change Business Delivery Group. Our commitment starts from planning and design and we expect anyone working with us to share our enthusiasm for good practice.
Heritage and culture are important to Elphinstone. In every development we commit a proportion of funds to artistic or cultural features by established or emerging artists. Andy Scott, a leading figurative sculptor, who specialises in public art was commissioned to create two five metre tall figures at the entrance to our award-winning City Park development where he also installed a bronze frieze depicting Glasgow's rich industrial heritage.
Our commitment to supporting young people covers a wide range of activity from assisting young people with talent in music and art, helping under-privileged teenagers with outward bound experiences to supporting young Scottish entrepreneurs and backing a Scottish initiative to provide a clinic, workshops, a school and new homes for medial and teaching staff in a small village in Malawi.
These experiences enable us to share our skills and experience with others and importantly enrich our approach as a leading developer helping us to add real value to Scotland.
